Guernsey Raiders is aware of the issue and is working to resolve it.

No customers are thought to have been impacted at this stage, with Raiders members having alerted club officials to the scam within an hour of the pages and posts being identified.

Club chairwoman Andrea Harris said that 'random' accounts had been leaving comments on the club's posts on social media which included links to a website claiming to be selling tickets.

'We've seen it happen before when we've posted, random people appear in the comments with links offering live streams of games, which is incorrect because none of our games are streamed live,' she said.

'It just shows that even a small club like ours is not immune to phishing and hacking attempts.'

She added that all information relating to the purchase of tickets for the match came directly from the club's social media pages, with tickets able to be bought via ticketing website Eventbrite.

'People can also purchase tickets on the day, I just hope that this doesn't put people off coming,' she said.

More than 580 tickets have already been sold for the match, which takes place on Saturday 4 May, with 98% of the seated tickets in the Garenne stand and opposite temporary stand already gone.

Most ground entry tickets are likely to be sold on the day.

As well as the Siam Cup, three additional matches are being played on the Footes Lane pitch earlier in the day featuring the islands' veterans', second and women's teams.

Guernsey will be hoping to exact revenge this year after losing all four match-ups in Jersey last year, including a 42-25 defeat in the headline match.
