The 30/30 riders all met at Ian Brown’s Cycle Shop to complete the final leg of the Rock to Rocque together.

Matthew Hann did the ride which started at the Val des Terres on Sunday morning with daughter Amelia, 12.

‘It was fine up the west coast, but brutal on the east,’ said Mr Hann.

Michelle Ferguson and Amelia Holden had completed the challenge as a team and both said how they had enjoyed the challenge.

‘It’s been fun, it gets you outside and we have had beautiful weather for it,’ said Ms Holden.

It was the fourth year Ms Ferguson had done the 30/30.

‘It’s always week two when you start to feel it in your legs,’ she said. ‘It’s been good fun – it feels good when you’ve done a ride.’

The challenge raises money for Les Bourgs Hospice.

‘We are only just over half way through collecting the money and already have £25,000,’ said Ian Brown.

‘We are ahead of last year and we will be announcing the total on 27 June.’

This year had more riders than the challenge has achieved in any other year.

‘We had 111 riders which shows that the challenge is still attractive,’ said Mr Brown.

‘30 of those were first-timers.’
