Raising money for Dreams Come True, a charity which assists sick and terminally ill children across the UK, Mr and Mrs Butterfield will begin their journey on 5 July, shortly after helping friends to move house and taking a short holiday.

‘When I registered for the London Marathon back in 2004, we got chatting with the person on their stall,’ said Mr Butterfield.

‘It turned out that her son was terminally ill and so we became quite emotionally attached. We’ve been supporting them ever since.

The idea for walking the Jurassic Coast just ‘popped up out of nowhere’ when an advert popped up on a website.

‘We’ll be walking 58 miles in two days, up and down lots of hills, and staying in a hostel in Swanage,’ said Mrs Butterfield.

The couple have also placed collection buckets at Iceland at Cobo, Alliance, Braye Road Garage and Trespass.

‘All charities need help and it’s our passion to help people in need,’ said Mr Butterfield.
