Just over 200 nominations have been received so far, but the Guernsey Press hopes to celebrate as many people in the community as possible. The categories cover different areas of the community, from sustainability heroes and young achievers, to arts contribution and parents.

‘Don’t miss out on this last chance to nominate a worthy candidate in any of our categories,’ said Guernsey Press editor James Falla.

‘If they deserve to be recognised in the newspaper let’s hear about them – and they might go on to win a cash prize.’

The deadline for nominations is Sunday. Voting opens on 30 August and closes on 15 September. The three nominations with the highest number of votes in each category will go before a panel of judges.

All nominees shortlisted will be invited to the Pride of Guernsey awards ceremony taking place on Saturday 19 October.
