Islander tells MPs about husband’s assisted death
A local woman has appeared as a key witness before a parliamentary committee working on a bill to legalise assisted dying in the UK.

Julie Thienpont, who supported husband Guy through an assisted death two years ago, said it was ‘quite an honour and a great experience’ to be called to give evidence by the committee of MPs when it heard from families with relevant experience on Thursday.
