A breakfast event hosted by PwC and the Guernsey Careers Service as part of their 'Unlocking Potential' collaborative partnership attracted business people, teachers, education professionals and politicians.
They concluded that a closer working relationship between the education and commercial sectors was vital for Guernsey's successful future as a centre for international business.
They also discussed the key employability challenges most relevant to Guernsey and what skills the workforce needed for the long-term success of the local economy.
'This first event was really enlightening and raised a range of ideas that will certainly help give us direction as we develop this initiative,' said Evelyn Brady (pictured), people partner at PwC CI's Guernsey office, who spoke at the event.
