Guernsey Film holds showcase

THE promise of 'Potato Peel Pie' coming to the islands helped to encourage more than 130 senior figures from the UK film community to a London event to showcase Guernsey Film.

The body was formed three years ago by finance industry professionals and States representatives to act as a centre of excellence for the collective infrastructure and expertise available in the island and to provide financial structuring solutions for films.

Guernsey Finance hosted the event, titled 'Film Wrapped Up: The Guernsey Advantage – because life should be simple', at the headquarters of the bank Coutts in the Strand in London.

Guernsey Film launched in London in 2010 and 70 industry professionals attended that event.
