YOUNG Enterprise is celebrating 30 years 'in business' in Guernsey.
Key YE figures over the past three decades and the present-day student companies met to relive some of the highlights of that period, which included a national finalist and many students recognised for their individual and group successes.
Young Enterprise came to the island with the support and direction of Tektronix, which asked its local operation to establish a student business scheme similar to those established in the US.
Tektronix's Al Graham and Harold Guilbert discovered Young Enterprise, which had started in the UK in 1963, and with their guidance and support, promoted it around the local schools.
