Business students praised for bettering themselves and Guernsey

COLLEGE courses have been getting people from all sections of society into business, Education minister Robert Sillars has said.

He was presenting certificates to business students at the College of Further Education this week to mark their success in their exams.

'I think it is brilliant,' he said.

'And what I think is really great is they have come here to better themselves. Some have full-time jobs. Some are mothers. One student from Alderney has been flying in.'

He said the college provided an important service.
