Alliance expects to create around 30 new jobs in the island, and will start the fitting-out process for its first store in the coming months.
It is also in advanced talks about a second major site in St Helier that would be as large as the biggest supermarkets on the island.
'We're delighted to be able to finally make this announcement about coming back to Jersey, because we've been working on these plans for some time,' said managing director Andrew Bagot, pictured.
Alliance has been trading in the Channel Islands for more than 30 years, and the company is owned and registered in the island.
Alliance recently signed a long-term partnership agreement with Tesco to sell its own label ranges in its store in Guernsey and plans to offer the range in Jersey as well.
'We think that the time is right to make this investment, and we look forward to being able to make an announcement about locations soon.'
