Positive business response as CFE tailors its offering

More than 100 people went to hear College of Further Education principal Saboohi Famili outline its' plans – dubbed Today, Tomorrow, Together – to take further education into the 21st century.

Various sectors of industry were represented, as well as the Institute of Directors and Chamber of Commerce.

'We have been amazed by the responses,' said Ms Famili, pictured.

'They have said they are keen to work with us so we can do what is needed for business and that has been a welcome gesture on their part because we need their input so that we can put together a plan that is fit for purpose.

'On the back of that, we said let's give an opportunity to industry to come and talk to us.

'That will be a dialogue with us telling them what we are thinking and our research and what we think is needed to test against what they say is needed for their industry.'
