Accountancy firm BDO records massive growth
Profits were up 22% at £80.3m., compared with £65.6m. the previous year, while underlying revenues were £405m., a 3.8% rise on the year before. The firm said that revenue growth had been seen primarily in audit and tax, while profits had been boosted by a focus on targeted investment on talent and technology.
BDO's Guernsey office employs more than 70 people and managing partner Richard Searle, pictured, said that the national results mirrored local growth.
'The UK and global BDO network results reflect our achievements in strengthening our services across our markets and mirror the continued growth on-island in our core business areas of audit, tax and services to Guernsey clients,' he said.
'BDO provides one of the largest accountancy offerings on-island with over 70 employees and, through our ongoing investment in our people and in technology, we are well placed to service the evolving needs of our clients locally, nationally and internationally. We work hard to retain our award-winning standards of exceptional client service which are built upon our strong local talent and extensive national and global network.
'In a challenging and demanding environment, it's fantastic to see these results which reflect the tremendous efforts and hard work of our team in delivering for our clients.'
