Jay Aylmer, Matt Watson and Nick Magliochetti have already been successful in a number of areas of business and now all three are stepping out with new initiatives, which they highlighted at an Institute of Directors lunchtime seminar.

Mr Aylmer is involved with TagTeam, a business developing intelligent wristbands for crowd control at large gatherings, former financier Mr Watson is moving into the sunglasses market, while Mr Magliochetti is the man behind Waves, the Uber-style 'airline' concept launched earlier this year.

They agreed that entrepreneurship was often not encouraged locally in favour of the corporate world.

'I would love to find more entrepreneurial young people who don't want to go down the corporate route,' Mr Aylmer said.
