‘Big data’ opportunities at centre of conference
OPPORTUNITIES for Guernsey to exploit ‘big data’ for economic benefit will be considered at the island’s first data conference next month.
Startup Guernsey has organised the event on Monday 9 October to follow up the blockchain conference it organised in March.
Expert speakers from different business sectors will be presenting the opportunities and risks for local businesses, as well as exploring where big data is already having an impact on the global market.
‘The conference is a great opportunity to discuss the opportunities in the area of blockchain, e-gov, digital identity and AI, as well as provide a greater level of understanding around big data for local businesses,’ said Startup chief executive Jennifer Strachan.
Tickets for the conference, which runs all day on 9 October at St Pierre Park Hotel, are available through Eventbrite, priced £30.
