Canadian firm Avionco jets in for air operator’s certificate

A FOURTH Air Operator’s Certificate has been issued by the Guernsey aviation registry 2-Reg, this time to a Canadian company.

The arrival of Avionco into the island also sees a return to active aviation for former Aurigny managing director Malcolm Hart, who takes on the role of accountable manager and director of the company, five years after he left the States-owned airline and retired.

Avionco’s move into Guernsey has taken the best part of 18 months, using the corporate services of Heritage Group, where Mr Hart is a consultant, and sees another different AOC model for 2-
