Already known for its craft beer, the brewery is planning an export drive into the UK, Europe and the Middle East, with its new premium Unit Six gin range and development of new beers at the heart of its future expansion.

Unit Six is being positioned at the top end of the market and the brewery says it is particularly appealing to affluent professionals in London.

A deal has already been sealed with Waitrose to stock the firm’s beer and gin range in a number of UK stores, in addition to products already being on local shelves.

The expat community in the Middle East and Asia have also been very positive about Unit Six, according to the brewery, with talks nearing completion for distribution into these regions.

‘We are confident that the unique vacuum distillation, alongside our fractionation process, used in the production of our new gin gives us an edge over our competitors,’ said White Rock Brewery managing director Ross Gledhill.

‘We’re one of only a handful of companies to produce gin in this way, which leads to a refined, subtle taste with a stronger flavour.’

He added that the company had been invited to take part in expert sessions at the Telegraph Gin Experience, being held in London this summer, because of its distillation process.

It will also be conducting tasting sessions at the two-day event.

The brewery is also exhibiting at the craft beer festival at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham in July.

As well as export activity, the brewery is looking to continue to build its brand in the Channel Islands.

A new, larger state-of-the-art brewery and distillery will open in St Peter Port, along with a new retail outlet on-site showcasing the brewery’s product range, select international beers and contributions from craft brewers across the UK and beyond.
