The law firm represented BGH Capital as to Guernsey law in the raising of its first private equity fund, which held its final closing with commitments at around A$2.6bn (approximately US$2bn). It is the largest-ever first-time fund focused on investment in that region.

The Mourant team was led by Guernsey partner Frances Watson and Hong Kong managing partner Paul Christopher, assisted by Guernsey senior associate Alex Porter.

BGH was founded by Ben Gray and Simon Harle, who were formerly partners of TPG Capital, and Robin Bishop, who was previously head of Macquarie Capital in Australia and New Zealand.
