Wealth of experience in CIB senior appointments
CHANNEL Insurance Brokers has made three senior appointments who have more than 60 years of industry experience between them.
Tony De Sousa becomes managing director and is joined on the board by new appointees Gareth Le Page and Steve Moullin.
The appointments come two years on from CIB becoming part of PIB Group, and as the firm focuses on the next phase of its development and working on increasing its market share across the Channel Islands.
‘We have a tremendous opportunity to grow further, bringing our strong business values and service delivery to match the demands and rightly high expectations of our clients,’ said Mr De Sousa, who is well known in the local insurance market. He joined CIB in 2016 as a director, primarily responsible for the personal insurance team, bringing 19 years of industry experience with him.
Mr Le Page joined CIB in 2017 as a senior commercial insurance broker, having held previous positions in underwriting, business development and captive insurance during a 15-year career.
An associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a chartered insurance broker, he said: ‘I am proud to have been asked to join the board and work with the group to accomplish our future objectives. This is an exciting time for the company, and I look forward to working with Tony and Steve as we enhance our offering and grow our brand.’
Mr Moullin also joined CIB in 2017 having been an insurance broker for more than 30 years, with experience of both personal and commercial insurance. He has helped drive the development in the commercial team, and prides himself on providing an efficient, professional and ethical service to all.
‘We are in an excellent position to capitalise on the growth opportunities presented by the current market. CIB’s brand, values and proven delivery models are facets I have respected as a competitor over many years and I am excited to be on board and part of the great new team that will take these to the next level,’ he said.
