Alexandra McInnes has rejoined the firm as a director leading its Guernsey advisory business, having originally trained with PwC in London in 2004.

Born in Guernsey, she returns to the island bringing a wealth of experience from more than 15 years working with financial services clients in London, New York and Bermuda.

As a specialist in supporting clients through change, the firm said the appointment would help drive the growth of its Channel Islands advisory business that supports clients in relation to regulation, technology and transformation.

Charlotte Beattie has also rejoined PwC as she takes on a senior management role in tax, based in Guernsey. Having originally joined the firm in London in 2007, she has gained extensive experience providing UK and international tax advice to businesses and leading restructuring projects.

In recent years, her focus has been leading Brexit projects for financial services businesses and working with the fintech sector on the tax and business challenges they face.

Meanwhile, Gerlind Smith has been announced as human capital director based in Jersey. She has been with the PwC network for 21 years, having relocated to the islands from Johannesburg – where she had responsibility for the entire human capital function of PwC across east, west and southern Africa.

She brings a broad knowledge across the disciplines within human capital with particular interest in executive development and organisational design required for the future workplace.

‘These accomplished individuals will add even more depth to our local leadership team as they all come equipped with a wealth of experience of both PwC networks and the international marketplace, which will help both our clients and our own business develop,’ said senior partner Simon Perry.

‘It’s very pleasing to welcome such senior female talent to our local firm, which I hope will underline how serious I am about encouraging even more women into leadership positions at PwC.

‘Our clients and staff expect us to bring the most diverse outlook to business issues and I am confident these appointments will help us do just that.’

The latest appointments follow on from Lisa McClure’s admittance as a partner of the firm and Leyla Yildirim coming on board as chief strategy officer, having previously held multiple senior roles within the wider PwC network.
