‘My new role involves managing Cherry Godfrey’s lending propositions in a controlled and strategic direction, facilitating safe growth for the group as it expands. The group is brimming with opportunity to provide solutions to the Channel Islands and Isle of Man and, with the right modelling, we could take the brand further afield and achieve great things,’ said Mr Rose.

He has joined Cherry Godfrey after a 19-year career at HSBC where he worked across a wide spectrum of banking services, specialising in corporate and commercial relationship banking. His most recent position was deputy area director, a leadership role focusing on all aspects of risk within HSBC’s corporate book.

Cherry Godfrey chief executive officer David Cherry said: ‘We spent a long time searching for the right person and in Kieran we found the perfect fit. He understands our local markets and gets that exceptionally good customer service is in the Cherry Godfrey DNA.’

Mr Rose will be based in Guernsey but will travel to all the Cherry Godfrey offices frequently, with a focus on the teams working closer together.
