‘A DEDICATED, passionate musician and business owner,’ is how Oliver Davies describes his nomination, Tyler Edmonds.

Tyler first picked up a guitar at the age of 13 and within a year he was fronting his own band. In April 2014 Tyler launched – and is the managing director of – the School of Popular Music.

This dedication and talent is why Oliver wants to see Tyler win the Moonpig-sponsored Arts Contribution of the Year award.

‘The School of Popular Music’s tag line is “music for everyone” and Tyler is passionate about making this a reality.’

But Oliver said Tyler’s passion goes above and beyond the school.

‘His involvement with the Express Yourself campaign for Guernsey Mind is just one example of where he has put himself out to promote the power of the arts. I have been fortunate to collaborate with Tyler many times over the past few years and have been inspired by his determination and dedication.

‘He is a true champion of not only music but all creative expression.

‘I can think of no one more suited for the Arts Contribution of the Year award.’
