Pride of Guernsey: the staff of Carey Ward
ALWAYS having a smile or a laugh has led to the staff of Carey Ward and Dr Aneurin Matthew being nominated for the Angel of the Year award.
Scott Le Page has put the team forward for the Ravenscroft-backed award and said he was inspired to do so following the care they provided him for a medical issue.
‘They went above and beyond and always had a smile or a laugh,’ he said.
‘They made me feel welcome and comfortable.
‘I was kept informed at all time by all staff. They are true guardians and need to be recognised,’ he said.
With his particular medical issue, and having been so well looked after by Dr Matthew and the Carey Ward staff, it had helped him to know the issue better and how to deal with it. ‘They are true heroes and always happy to help.’
