Valerie Loaring decided to nominate the tea room because she thought the team cover the basics of welcoming visitors that a lot of places simply miss.

‘They are absolutely special,’ she said.

‘It doesn’t matter if they know you or not, they give you such a warm welcome.

‘You go into some places and they don’t welcome you, you leave and its like you were never their. ‘Camille and her staff really make you feel at home.’

Miss Goddard and her partner Vuong Pham run the cafe, with help from a dedicated team of staff who help to ensure all their fresh cakes and other refreshments are served with a smile – something which Mrs Loaring believes deserves recognition.

‘Every time anyone goes into the tearoom they are greeted with a smile,’ she said.

‘They are always so helpful.

‘And when you leave, there is always a thank you for coming.

‘Not to mention the food is great.

‘They work very hard making sure they have food available for people with different dietary requirements.

‘They truly deserve their nomination.’
