Dallas Courtenay-Warren
AN ENGLISH TEACHER at Notre Dame du Rosaire Primary School, Dallas Courtenay-Warren has been nominated for this year’s Teacher of the Year Award.
The nominator, who wished to remain anonymous, said that Miss Courtenay-Warren encourages the pupils to achieve their best in every aspect of their studies and lives.
‘Dallas has a lovely rapport with the pupils, who all respond positively to her teaching,’ the nominator said.
‘She is also a very well-liked member of staff and I have known her for a long time now and know how much hard work she puts into her teaching.’
Miss Courtenay-Warren was said to be very dedicated to her work, spending large amounts of time preparing for her lessons so that the pupils always receive ‘first-class projects and encouragement’.
‘She often works during school holidays and always makes sure [everything] is ready for the first day of school each term, particularly for September,’ the anonymous nominator added.
‘I feel she is an asset to the school and a good candidate for the Teacher of the Year Award.
‘I thought the Pride of Guernsey awards were a great time to show how much she is appreciated and to recognise her for her hard work and dedication.’
