Dom Fletcher and Nick Peters of St John Ambulance and Matthew Roger, Divon Crouse, Michael Wilson, Dale Garland and James Bougourd, all from Green Watch at Guernsey Fire and Rescue Service, have been nominated by Jon Williams for their work to revive him after he went into cardiac arrest last October.

‘These gents worked together with Colin Vaudin and Chris Welsby – who administered CPR initially – to revive me following my cardiac arrest on 24 October last year.

‘I am aware that I was a particularly challenging case to deal with but they persevered until a positive outcome was achieved.’

Mr Williams said the team worked together brilliantly, with St John directing activities and GFRS staff monitoring and assisting with CPR and undertaking various support tasks including turning the ambulance around, preparing the stretcher, preparing the evacuation and carrying Mr Williams down the stairs.
