Whether picking up prescriptions or popping in for a catch-up, the pharmacy team are always happy to see you.

At times where life can be a little challenging, it is reassuring to be welcomed in and treated as an extension of the family.

Nominating the pharmacy for the Cherry Godfrey-sponsored Customer Service of the Year award, Helen O’Hara said: ‘We have a little boy who has needed a lot of medicine and equipment over the years. He’s six now but we have been going in ever since he was a little baby. I’ve been going in there for years, since it’s my local pharmacy, and the team have always been really supportive. They are just so lovely and helpful when I’ve needed things too, for myself or for others.’

With regular visits, the pharmacy team have become like part of the family.

‘Now it’s at the point where we’ve regularly gone in for over six years. They’ve seen my son grow up too. Even though he doesn’t need as much medical equipment now, we still pop in to say hello and catch up. Seeing Gary, one of the pharmacists, and the girls adds a bit of sunshine to our day. They are all just absolutely lovely and deserve a bit of recognition.’

Staff are on the ball for any medical need and will talk out any worries.

‘They have all been really helpful for whatever we need. They are very kind and friendly and are always happy to see my son when we go into the shop. When I pop in on my own they always ask about him and how he is doing. This is just my way of saying a big thank you to all of them.’
