Customer Service of the Year: Sean Wilson/The Carpet Doctor
THE CARPET DOCTOR owner Sean Wilson has been nominated eight times for the Cherry Godfrey-sponsored Customer Service of the Year award.
Described as a diligent one-man-band, hard-working Mr Wilson has proved popular with his loyal customers.
Over the pandemic he often gave his time free of charge in high-risk environments, as an expert in biohazards, infection control and prevention.
One nominator hoped he would get deserved recognition for being ‘on time, on budget, and exceptionally reliable’ and said he would be ‘a credit to any customer service team.’
Going the extra mile is taken in Sean’s stride.
From 6.30am he delivers 400 newspapers until 11.30am, when The Carpet Doctor duties commence.
On days off he will go to anybody needing his help, which was confirmed by one nominator who said ‘he dropped everything to remove a blood stain for me after a family member fell down the stairs’.
Another nominator said: ‘We had a flood earlier this year and Sean arrived within an hour of calling to clean up, saving further damage and saving us having to put in an insurance claim.’
Sean’s work over lockdown sanitising workplaces was ‘incredible as we’ve seen he’s worked all hours of the day and night to keep up with demand.’
Additional qualifications are undertaken by Sean so that he is ‘constantly evolving his business, to allow him to specialise effectively in the many areas he is requested to deal with.’
Customers are talked through every aspect of the job so they understand exactly the work involved.
‘A very pleasant man and extremely hard-working and conscientious. I recommend him to all my friends.’
