She was put forward for being the ‘perfect teacher’ by parent Daniel Ormrod, whose son was taught by Mrs Price before he left this year for his big move into secondary school.

He praised her for providing a positive learning environment for her pupils.

‘I believe Mrs Price’s commitment and approach to working with children is second to none,’ he said.

‘I have seen my son become so much happier at school and his grades have changed dramatically under her tutorship.

‘Even though Finley will now move into secondary school, Mrs Price has left a lasting impression and her enthusiasm, dedication and hard work should be recognised and I am truly grateful for everything that she has done for Finley during this past year.

‘She truly is the perfect teacher.’
