Nominator Emily Nuttall particularly praised Jill Chadwick, Julia Jager and Allan Skirrow for their contributions, describing them as ‘the true inspirations of our singers’.
‘I first joined the choir after my 2015 inpatient admission for anorexia and mental health,’ said Emily.
‘From day one, I have been welcomed with open arms and made to feel a part of something truly spectacular.
‘Jill, Julia and Allan believe in all of us and make us feel like one big family.
‘They help us to grow in confidence together, unite us as one and are there for me and everyone through the tough times and amazing times too.’
Emily wanted to take this opportunity to express her gratitude and to give the team the recognition for the huge difference they had made.
‘Without these three amazing people and the Hope Choir singers I hate to think where I would be. They have brought together many of us who would be struggling alone.
‘They deserve to be recognised for their love, care, dedication and passion for making such an impact on so many of us and our communities.
‘Through singing, they don’t only change lives, they save lives, and I’m forever thankful for these amazing people.’
