Pride of Guernsey: Marc Boyd
MARC BOYD has been nominated for the Teacher of the Year award.
Marc has worked at the Sports Commission for four years, and during Covid started working with Les Voies School to bring the love of sport to students there.
He loved working with the students there so much he is due to start working at Les Voies full-time in September.
‘Marc is our hero, not once did he give up on our child,’ said his nominators, Cindy and Pete Taylor.
‘Marc’s gone over and above to fight so our child has opportunities like everyone else.
‘He’s really, really done so much. He always sees the best in our child, and when difficulties arose Marc never gave up.
‘We have seen such a difference in our son. They definitely have an amazing relationship.
‘Marc has touched our lives in a way we just can’t put into words.’
Mr Boyd was a little embarrassed upon receiving the nomination. ‘I’m slightly blown away,’ he said.
