Pride of Guernsey: Bonny Murray
BONNY MURRAY has been nominated for the Teacher of the Year award, sponsored by Core Fund Services (Guernsey) Limited.
Bonny has been teaching for 10 years, and joined Notre Dame du Rosaire Primary School in 2018. She is also the phase leader for Years 5 and 6.
‘I would like to nominate the glorious Miss Murray of Notre Dame School,’ said her nominator, Rollo O’Sullivan, 11.
‘She has always been there for me in the juniors. If she wasn’t my junior teacher, I might have never experienced happiness at school.
‘She makes me happy because she is a responsible teacher that is always there for others and helping to sort their problems. She takes us on trips which we love and she has managed to host the entire Year Six play by herself.
‘In my school she is the leader of maths and there is no-one else like her.
‘She is a great teacher and I wish that she wins.’
‘I’m thrilled,’ Bonny said on being told of her nomination.
