‘Harrison wrote a song for his best friend who slept at our house but who was afraid of the dark,’ said his nominator and mum, Gemma Ainger.

‘Harrison completed the song with the support of the School of Popular Music and then went on to produce the song for them. We then released it to local media and across YouTube, Spotify and Amazon Music.

‘It’s been a real hit and for him to experience this process fully and use his talent to come up with a song with so much love and meaning is just truly inspirational. Not only to his family but to so many children too. It’s about the reason behind the song.’

Harrison named the song Hello Dark, and is currently working on a new one called Fly Away.

‘The thought behind it was amazing for a nine-year-old,’ Gemma said.
