‘After a third successful year of the largest festival in Guernsey, I would like to nominate these three lads, the co-founders of Guernsey Together Festival,’ said their nominator Jayne Kurz.

‘2021 was a very brave last-minute effort, due to the pandemic. Guernsey enjoyed its new-found freedom with a huge celebration – local bands, food and retail stall-holders were able to claw a little back from a dark phase.

‘Since then the festival has gone from strength to strength, this year being a two-day event. Obstacles and teething issues were perfected bit by bit behind the scenes to ensure a truly successful community-large event, enjoyed by all ages and walks of life.

‘I feel that these three lads take on a huge responsibility and face hundreds of challenges for their ages. Having witnessed all the work behind the scenes, I am in true awe of the strength and pressure they take on.

‘All the local talented bands are invited and this year two new up and coming bands joined the festival and their families and band members were bursting with emotions and pride.

‘The parents mentioned that these bands never believed their first gig would be before a public crowd of three to four thousand and this opportunity is priceless.

‘I feel that this event was born to celebrate the coming together of a community and its strengthening each year, which this festival and its founders symbolise.’
