Jenni has been a qualified nurse for 17 years and has worked as a palliative care nurse since 2017.

‘Jen is a very caring person. Nothing is too much trouble, she will make sure you are pain-free and comfortable, would talk things through with you and explain things so you understood,’ said her nominator, who wishes to remain anonymous.

‘If you had a problem you could phone her and she would come to your house as soon as she could.

‘She did everything for us. Nothing was ever too much trouble for her. She never refused anything.’

The nominator went on to say that even after their spouse had died, Jenni still spoke to them.

‘It’s a role where you can make a big difference in people’s lives,’ Jenni said.

‘It’s about making a positive difference, under the circumstances.

‘It’s really nice to know you’ve made a difference.’
