Megan has been a yoga teacher since 2017, teaching and guiding others towards mental stability through yoga. ‘My goal is to make yoga accessible for everyone, despite abilities or ages,’ she said.

‘Megan has openly been through troubles herself and has publicised the details on the yoga website to help others,’ her nominator said, who wanted to remain anonymous.

Suffering with mental health issues herself, Megan has used yoga to become more confident mentally and physically.

She has encouraged others to experience yoga to help their own wellbeing. ‘I’m getting a bit emotional about it, it’s so sweet,’ said Megan when she heard about her nomination.

‘Megan regularly receives messages from people having hard times and who have been to yoga and experienced change that helped their mental wellbeing,’ her nominator said.

Megan’s yoga classes over the past three years show her dedication and love for the activity that has helped heal her in more ways than one.

But that commitment has also helped many people who attend her classes.

‘That is what makes it worth it,’ said Megan.

Yoga is for everybody, no matter your age, size or physical ability. ‘I believe that Megan has dedicated so much to this and benefited so many people,’ her nominator said.
