Amy has been working as a receptionist at IslandHealth St Sampson’s since 2015.

‘Amy is kind, friendly, polite and helpful. She’s quick to put patients at ease with her friendly smile and help them however she can,’ said nominator Claire Craddock.

‘Amy is always so happy and is always up for a chat. Whenever I go to the doctor’s surgery, I hope she’s sat at reception. She is a credit to IslandHealth,’ said another nominator, Jessica West.

‘She is the most delightful and welcoming receptionist. Nothing is too much trouble and she will always put a smile on your face no matter how unwell you feel.'

Another anonymous nominator sad: ‘Customer service like this is very rare these days. I think she deserves recognition for the amazing job she does in caring for her patients and lifting your spirit when you’re feeling unwell.'

And Jake Bishop, another who nominated Amy, added: ‘She consistently creates a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for patients, making them feel at ease from the moment they arrive.

‘Despite a busy reception area, she manages tasks efficiently, minimising wait times and maintaining a professional demeanour.

‘Amy goes above and beyond to accommodate patients’ needs, earning their trust and gratitude. Her dedication, compassion and organisational skills make her an outstanding candidate for a customer service award.’
