Pride of Guernsey: Mike Hawdon
MIKE HAWDON, a member of the team at Boots in the centre of St Peter Port, has been nominated for the Customer Service award, which is sponsored by DWA.
Dedicated, friendly and helpful, Mike has worked at Boots for almost five years.
‘If he was my employee I’d be over the moon,’ said Paul Gallie his nominator.
Mike is always willing to help others whether they are other employees or new customers, he said, and his customer service skills have been described as impeccable.
‘I enjoy giving customer service,’ said Mike.
He enjoys meeting many different people, having different interactions with various clients.
Mike is friendly to everyone he meets and is especially calm during busy periods in the store.
‘I’m surprised and proud,’ said Mike upon hearing of his nomination.
Paul said that Boots were fortunate to have someone like Mike on the team.
‘Every time I’ve seen him, he’s just been on it,’ said Paul. ‘Boots are very lucky to have someone giving old-fashioned good customer service with a personal touch.'
