Working behind the scenes for all the island’s churches, Anita connects parish communities together through her promotion of many church events.

‘She works quietly for all churches in Guernsey,’ said Roy Sarre, who, with his wife Maddie, nominated Anita.

'Anita is efficient and quick with getting important information out to all the churches,' he said.

‘It’s nice to widen the scope as a lot of churches don’t think of other churches,’ said Anita.

For more than a decade she has been connecting churches together through advertising each of their events.

‘I can’t speak more highly of her,’ said Roy, having seen first-hand how amazingly she does her job, willing to help everyone – free of charge.

‘I’m delighted – that’s lovely and really nice of them,’ said Anita when told of her nomination.

Anita said that she believes the island’s churches needed to collaborate by bringing people together and sharing events.

‘She is quite remarkable, and we don’t know how she just does all this – and for years,’ said Roy.
