Pride of Guernsey: Mandy Priore
MANDY PRIORE has been nominated for the Grandparent/s of the Year award, sponsored by Channel Islands Coop.
‘We are so incredibly grateful for the love, support and kindness that our mum gives our children and my two nieces,’ said her nominator, Daniella Lee-Priore.
‘Mum is a retired child-minder and works as a lunchtime supervisor at a primary school. She is just so brilliant and has a special way with children.
‘Her fun spirit, care, generosity and humour mean that children are drawn to her like a magnet. We feel so lucky that she is our children’s grandma.
‘They adore her and we couldn’t do without her help and positivity. Mum brings so much sparkle to the children’s lives.
‘We lost our dad some time ago. Mum encourages us all to speak about our wonderful dad so that the children have a sense of who their grandpa was and can share the precious memories we have.
‘Dad would be so proud of how Mum has and how she still brings so much fun, energy and laughter to our lives as a family.’
