The 16-year-old ‘has had a trophy-laden season to remember’, said his nominator, who wished to remain anonymous.

Jayden has been playing golf since he was 10 years old as a member of the Guernsey Royal Golf Club.

‘It’s a great delight for me to be nominated,’ said Jayden when he heard about his nomination.

The young golfer has been renowned as arguably the most dedicated player in the flourishing local junior ranks, said his nominator.

Jayden was the second-youngest ever Island Men’s Championship finalist in May, further making his mark in the UK when he won his first three events in Liphook, Effingham and Hayling.

‘Playing for the island has brought great excitement, joy and motivation,’ said Jayden.

His love and commitment to the sport goes as far as playing around six to seven hours a day, seven days a week.

‘Having already been named in the Guernsey team for the junior inter-insular, he will make his full debut for the men’s side in September,’ his nominator said.

In already achieving success, this talented and dedicated young golfer has shown glimpses of a potentially very bright future.
