The nine-year-old's actions saved his younger brother’s life when he noticed something was seriously wrong.

Immediately jumping into action, Kenzee got his mother and dialled 999.

‘He knew something wasn’t right and he was just so calm,’ said Samantha Heap, his mother, who put Kenzee forward.

‘He’s autistic, so what happened could have caused him to fit, but he was so calm'.

Kenzee’s calm attitude and lifesaving decisions made Samantha incredibly proud. ‘It was traumatic for him too, but he didn’t panic,’ she said.

Kenzee said: ‘I felt quite scared, but I knew something was really wrong with him.'

Instead of letting fear overcome him, Kenzee stayed calm and immediately got his brother help.

‘I dread to think what would’ve happened if Kenzee hadn’t been there,’ said Samantha.

When the ambulance arrived Kenzee also showed them where they needed to go to attend to his brother.

‘I feel great. I’m so excited for this,’ said Kenzee when he heard about his nomination.

‘He had dialled 999 before I could even ask,’ said Samantha.
