Imogen has recently set up a new business – Evergreen Bridal – which aims to offer an eco-friendly wedding dress shopping experience for brides. She has held pop-ups over the past year and opened a studio only a few weeks ago. Evergreen Bridal allows brides to buy new dresses that have either come out of over-ordered stock, discontinued dresses or ex-samples from UK bridal studios, avoiding those dresses from going to waste.

The studio also stocks eco-friendly accessories from small, independent businesses. They also buy people's pre-loved wedding dresses to sell on, avoiding the single use of dresses and saving people money, while doing their bit towards saving the planet.

Imogen was inspired to start the business as she was looking for a dress for her own wedding.

She noticed that there was nowhere on-island that stocked sustainably sourced or pre-loved wedding dresses, that also had an enjoyable shopping experience.

Imogen’s nominator said: ‘It’s particularly impressive that she established this while also planning her own wedding.’
