Pride of Guernsey: Sarah Ozanne
SARAH OZANNE has been nominated for the Carer of the Year award.
Sarah has been nominated for her caring nature, volunteering for the Guernsey Voluntary Service as a driver, supporting and caring for her late father, and supporting and caring for her mother.
Sarah’s nominator, Anita Fletcher, said: ‘She is always willing to help everyone all the time and anyone, it doesn’t matter who it is.’
Sarah also spends her time volunteering with local drama groups and assists with the Russels Day Centre, showing her dedication to the community, young or old.
Sarah assists with driving for the Jubilee House and Russels Day Centre. She also is learning to drive a minibus to volunteer for the Russels Day Centre as they are currently short of minibus drivers.
As well as this she volunteers for Guernsey Jumbulance Holidays, which allows people of any age to go on holiday, where previously they may not have been able to as they require assistance.
‘Nothing’s too much trouble for Sarah, she would do anything for anyone. Sarah is such a kind soul and always approachable.’
