Pride of Guernsey: The Guernsey Dairy with Les Fauconnaires Farm

THE Guernsey Dairy with Les Fauconnaires Farm has been nominated for the Sustainability Hero of the Year award, sponsored by Aon.

The Les Fauconnaires Farm is the only organic farm on the island, and its 40 Guernsey cows supply the dairy with around 1,000 litres of milk every week.

On the back of the partnership with the farm, the Guernsey Dairy was named winner of the Soil Association’s Best Everyday Dairy for its Organic RSPCA Assured A2 milk earlier this year.

‘To win this award the cows must be fed a wholesome diet free from artificial additives, chemicals and genetically modified ingredients,’ said their nominator, who wanted to remain anonymous.

Les Fauconnaires Farm, under the care of Jim and Liz Naftel, continues to thrive, with both working hard with the Guernsey Dairy to bring premium quality products to customers across the island.

The award win shows that the Guernsey Dairy and Les Fauconnaires Farm aims to help the environment of the island as a sustainability hero.
