Applications to the Development and Planning Authority, as published in the Guernsey Press.


Mr and Mrs C. Van Katwyk – extend dwelling at rear (east elevation) at Castaway, Clos des Varendes, Rue des Varendes.

Mr P. Dorey and Miss M. Cherry – erect timber shed on agricultural land (retrospective) at land, Knockhill, Rue des Houmets.

Mrs D. West – demolish existing and erect replacement conservatory to rear of property at Footnote, Grandes Rocques Road.

Education, Sport & Culture – replace fence, pedestrian and vehicle gates and install new fence and pedestrian gate at La Mare de Carteret Primary School, Route de la Mare de Carteret.


Guernsey Dairy – install floor mounted air conditioning/handling unit on north elevation of building at Guernsey Dairy, La Brigade.



CI Newsagents Ltd – internal alterations to sub-divide into two units (protected building) at The Press Shop, 8-12 and 12a, Smith Street, St Peter Port.

Mr and Mrs J. Mallender – remove chimney, remove entrance screen to front of property and install external insulation at Nivarra, Avenue Germain, Ville au Roi.

Mrs J. Byrne – remove section of roadside wall and widen vehicular access to front of property at La Providence, Ruettes Brayes.

R. W. Randall Ltd – change of use from hotel (visitor economy use class 10) to lodging house (residential use class 6) at Maison Saint Pierre, Fort Road.



Mrs E. Pipet – demolish existing and erect replacement outbuildings to create grooming parlour and day care for dogs at Vimy Ridge, Le Felconte Road.


Offshore Consulting Ltd – erect signage above entrance door with side lighting at first floor, Co-Op En Route, Les Bas Courtils Road.

Miss S. Minier – erect replacement extension to rear of dwelling at Armani, Nocq Road.

Mr and Mrs L. Dodd – extend dwelling at first floor level including create new terrace and erect flat roof extension at ground floor level on north elevation at Bonaire, Route Militaire.

Mr and Mrs M. Rogers – variations to plans previously approved to extend dwelling at first floor level, raise roof height and install dormer windows (front and rear elevations), roof lights (front and side/west elevations) and glazed gabled end, and external insulated render – erect porch (north elevation) at Maple Cottage, Braye Road.

Mr L. Le Page – extend sun room and erect detached garage/workshop to side (west) of dwelling at Les Charmilles, Grand Douit Road.


Mr and Mrs R. Smith – extend and alter dwelling at ground and first floor levels incorporating first floor balcony on east (front) elevation, block up existing and install new window on north elevation at La Mer et Ciel, Route des Houguets.


Mr and Mrs O. Edwards – erect single-storey extension and install raised decking and planters to rear of property. Remove boiler house, install door in garage, remove chimney and install two windows on east elevation at Timbavati, Route des Laurens.


Mr R. Langlois – demolish rear extension and boundary wall and erect new two-storey extension on south elevation, demolish and rebuild chimney at Le Piemaran, 2, Rue du Havre, Bordeaux.

Mr and Mrs T. Baggs – demolish existing and erect replacement dwelling, infill existing opening and pedestrian gateway and widen vehicular access at Appleton Place, Hougue du Valle.

Channel Islands Co-operative Society Ltd – change of use of first and second floors to form flat (residential use class two). Install replacement shop front to ground floor, replace existing windows and install rooflights and replacement lantern light to rear of property at former Guernsey Press/Island Shopper premises, 17, The Bridge.

Mr C. Le Gallez – demolish lean-to extension and remove chimney, and erect single-storey extension at rear (west elevation), erect a porch (east elevation), alterations to fenestration including install window in south elevation and widen vehicular access at The Abyss, La Garenne Road.

Mr and Mrs P. Duckworth – erect flat roof extension on north-west (rear) elevation at Soleil Cottage, Route du Camp du Roi.

However, if also advertised by site notice, the timescale for making representations will be 21 days from the first display of the site notice.

Applications are normally published in the Guernsey Press shortly after they are received as valid and this advertisement may appear before the site notice is erected. Minor applications may not be included as part of this list. However, a complete register containing details of all applications received is available for inspection at the auhtority's offices at Level 3, Sir Charles Frossard House, La Charroterie, St Peter Port, between 9am and 5pm, Mondays to Fridays.

Please note that the content of any letters of representation are not treated as confidential by the authority and will be disclosed, at their request, to the applicant, once the application has been determined.

Representations will also be made available to the planning tribunal in the event of an appeal, and could be considered and discussed at a public tribunal hearing.
