CONDOR Ferries has increased the number of passenger it has carried despite suffering a nightmare year with repeated engine problems.

Guernsey director Ian Milner (pictured) said the past two years had been very successful.
'We have seen the number of visitors travelling from St Malo or the UK to the Channel Islands rise by 6% in 2009 and 7% in 2010.
He added: '2011 has also been successful so far, with numbers increasing by 9%.'
