The royal arrival makes headlines and leads several of Tuesday’s papers, along with the continuing Windrush row.

Images of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, with Kate cradling the young prince in her arms, feature on nearly all the front pages.

The Sun says the prince has the “perfect patriotic credentials” – having arrived on St George’s Day and Shakespeare’s birthday.

An image of Kate, who wore a red and white Jenny Packham dress, looking lovingly at her new son fills the page of the Daily Telegraph.

Wrapped in a white shawl and wearing a white bonnet, the Daily Mail’s front page shows the prince giving his “first royal wave” in a full-page photo.

The Daily Express carries William’s comment that they have “thrice the worry now” along with a close-up of the youngster.

“Three cheers,” reads the Metro front page, while the i declares a “Royal arrival”.

The Daily Mirror’s front page also carries an image of mother and son, while the paper leads with a report on the Windrush row, saying the Prime Minister has hidden behind the Home Secretary on the issue.

The Times also leads with Windrush, saying Amber Rudd has vowed to change the culture of the Home Office amid fears ethnic minority voters could abandon the Tories.

In its lead story, The Guardian focuses on Ms Rudd’s attempt to draw a line under the scandal by apologising and pledging to give citizenship to those from the Windrush generation affected by the failures.

The Independent says university admissions data shows black students are 21 times more likely to be investigated for suspected false or missing information, prompting allegations from Labour of “institutional racism” in the higher education system.

The Daily Star leads with the death of London Marathon runner Matt Campbell, a 29-year-old from the Lake District who had appeared on Masterchef: The Professionals.

A US hint that it may ease sanctions against Rusal, the Russian aluminium producer, if a Vladimir Putin-linked oligarch sells his shares in the firm, sent the metal’s price tumbling by 10%, the Financial Times reports.
