Primary school pupils spell out ‘come on England’

Some of England’s youngest fans have sent the team their best wishes using an unusual method.
Pupils from Acklam Whin Primary School in Middlesbrough formed the message “COME ON ENGLAND!” by standing in position to spell out the words.
The 450 children were organised by their sports coach Matthew Jackson, with the exclamation mark being formed by youngsters from the nursery.
Mr Gamble said of the past week: “We have won or come second in a number of local sports competitions (athletics, tennis and cricket), and we also performed our school production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream with over 120 children involved.
“On top of that we received our ‘Good’ Ofsted inspection report this week which we are very proud of, and we wanted to do something as a school to celebrate all those things and pass on our best wishes to the England team as they prepare for Monday.”
