Man charged with attempted murder in Kilmarnock

A man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder after an incident in East Ayrshire last month.

A 46-year-old man was found injured near Ayr Road in Kilmarnock at around 1.50pm on Monday March 11.

He was treated at Crosshouse Hospital.

Police said a 48-year-old man has now been arrested and charged.

He is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Tuesday with a report to be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
