Man seriously injured by two intruders who sped off in Jaguar

The men forced their way into a house in Larkhall, where they attacked the 36-year-old victim on Friday afternoon.

A man is in hospital with severe facial injuries after being attacked in a house.

Two men forced their way into the property in Hawick Crescent, Larkhall, South Lanarkshire, at 3.10pm on Friday and assaulted a 36-year-old man.

One is described as white, 5ft 6in, slim and with short dark hair, wearing black clothing.

The other is also white, 6ft 2in with shaven dark hair and in his 40s.

He is of a stocky/muscular build with tattoos on both arms and was wearing a short sleeved T-shirt with blue jeans.

Both men ran out of the house and into a silver/grey Jaguar X-Type car – driven by a third man – which sped on to nearby Scotia Crescent.

Detective Constable Ashley Hind said: “This was a very brutal attack on an innocent man.

“Anyone who was in the vicinity and may have seen the suspects or a silver/grey car hanging about is asked to contact police immediately.

“Anyone who has the suspects or vehicle captured on their dashcam is also asked to contact police as this could prove vital in tracing those responsible for this despicable act of violence.”
